JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Restaurant Server

Department: Food & Beverage

Supervision Exercised: None

Supervision Received: Restaurant Supervisor / Restaurant Manager / Food & Beverage Manager

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience

• Previous serving or hospitality experience preferred.
• Experience with POS systems and cash handling a plus.

Skills and Knowledge

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dining environment.
• Knowledge of menu items allergens food preparation and beverage options.
• Strong attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 2530 lbs.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• Professional appearance and polished demeanor.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and provide friendly attentive service.
• Present menus answer questions and make recommendations.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and input them into the POS system.
• Deliver food and drinks promptly ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
• Check back with guests regularly and anticipate needs.
• Process payments handle cash and balance receipts accurately.
• Maintain table cleanliness reset tables and support dining room organization.
• Communicate guest needs and concerns to management or kitchen staff as needed.
• Follow all food safety sanitation and alcohol service guidelines.
• Assist with opening closing and side work duties.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
