Job Description:

Install alter repair and maintain pipe systems above below and within

structures (walls floors ceilings etc.).
Work with plumbing fixtures such as sinks toilets showers tubs water
heaters faucets and kitchen/laundry equipment.
Maintain and repair components like traps vents drains siphons pumps
valves and shock arrestors.
Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to identify and correct
deficiencies.
Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and specifications; sketch
plumbing layouts.
Estimate time materials and cost for work orders; requisition necessary
supplies.
Install and maintain fire protection sprinkler systems sewage systems and
water treatment facilities.
Repair and adjust mechanical equipment including water/steam pumps
compressors and fuel storage systems.
Ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations.
Train and guide helpers and apprentices in plumbing techniques and safety

procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: Training and experience in the plumbing trade.

Other: Must have a valid drivers license. Applicants accepting a job offer must pass the following pre-employment exams medical exam and drug testing. Once at the Staff Training Academy you must successfully complete the full NE Corrections Training Program.
