How youll contribute
As a Licensed Plumber you will excel by:
- Keeping critical hospital plumbing systems safe reliable and operational by installing repairing and maintaining essential water sewer drainage heating cooling and mechanical systems.
- Protecting patients staff and visitors by performing work with a strong commitment to safety infection prevention and the unique requirements of a healthcare environment.
- Applying specialized expertise to mission-critical systems including medical gas RO and de-ionized water steam hydronic chilled water fire protection sprinkler and related equipment and fixtures.
- Responding quickly and effectively to urgent problems by troubleshooting complex plumbing and mechanical systems exercising sound judgment and taking decisive action to minimize disruption to patient care and hospital operations.
- Ensuring quality compliance and code adherence by accurately reading blueprints and schematics and applying applicable plumbing mechanical building fire and safety codes and standards.
- Working independently and taking ownership of assigned work managing priorities effectively and completing repairs and maintenance with minimal supervision in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Collaborating as a trusted facilities resource by partnering with maintenance staff contractors and hospital teams to resolve plumbing and mechanical issues and support reliable facility operations.
- Contributing to a high-performing maintenance team by documenting work accurately supporting preventive maintenance sharing technical knowledge and assuming a lead or charge role when needed.

What were looking for
- Licensed Plumber with a current valid plumbing license and a valid drivers license.
- 3 years of related plumbing experience with hospital healthcare commercial industrial or similarly complex facility experience preferred.
- Strong technical expertise in installing repairing and maintaining domestic water sewer drainage heating cooling and mechanical plumbing systems.
- Experience with specialized systems such as medical gas RO/de-ionized water steam hydronic chilled water sprinkler or fire protection systems.
- Preventive maintenance mindset with the ability to identify potential problems maintain equipment and systems proactively and help prevent service interruptions.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills with the ability to diagnose complex plumbing and mechanical issues and determine effective solutions.
- Sound judgment and independence with the ability to prioritize work make timely decisions and perform effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to safety quality and compliance with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics and follow applicable codes standards and hospital requirements.
- Professional team-oriented communication skills with the ability to work effectively with facilities staff contractors and clinical teams while maintaining a service-focused approach.
- Flexibility to respond to urgent or emergency needs including participation in an on-call rotation evenings weekends or holidays as required by hospital operations.
