What Youll Do
Join the Facilities team at Grand River Hospital District as a Plumber / General Maintenance Technician and help maintain a safe functional and reliable healthcare environment. This role is primarily responsible for the maintenance repair and installation of commercial plumbing systems while also supporting general facility maintenance operations. Working under the supervision of the Facilities Supervisor youll play an important role in supporting the comfort and safety of patients residents staff and visitors.
- Install maintain and repair commercial plumbing systems including piping fixtures and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues such as leaks clogs backups and system failures
- Perform preventative maintenance on plumbing water distribution drainage and sanitary systems.
- Respond to urgent plumbing issues facility emergencies and rotating on-call maintenance needs
- Read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical instructions related to plumbing systems.
- Complete repair and preventative maintenance work orders and accurately document work performed.
- Assist with general maintenance duties facility improvements and support of other building systems as needed.
- May be required to cross train in other disciplines among facilities team.
- Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
Who Were Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Journeymen plumbers license preferred.
- Valid drivers license and clean DMV record required.
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial plumbing service experience and 3 to 5 years of general maintenance experience preferred.

Pay Range: $25.72-$32.016/hour (based on experience)

Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors including a candidates qualifications skills competencies and experience.
