Job Summary
The Plumber assembles installs and repairs pipes fittings and fixtures of heating water and drainage systems at the CMI customer site in Beltsville MD.
Key Job Functions
- Install repair maintain and/or replace plumbing systems including but not limited to water closets sinks drinking fountains decorative fountains laundry tubs service sinks urinals bathtubs showers fixtures floor drains outlet lines hose bibs dishwashers garbage disposals HVAC fire suppression systems storm sewer water pipes and equipment and filters as necessary
- Open and clean various types of stoppages including but not limited to clogged sewers (sanitary and storm) steam lines toilets urinals sinks tubs showers floor drains general drain lines traps gutters and rain leaders
- Plan and layout work from blueprints drawings technical manuals or specifications to include placement pitch routing elevation expansion and operation of piping systems and associated components equipment and controls
- Inspect repair and perform preventive maintenance according to Manufacturers Recommendations
- Performs other plumber related duties as required
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- At least 5 years of Plumbing experience within a government facility
- Must be a licensed plumber with experience in commercial plumbing systems
- Reads and understand Blueprints and Plumbing Code
- Must be able to fluently read write speak and understand the English language
- Must be able to pass a government background check
