PLC Programmer (Allen-Bradley)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled PLC Programmer with strong experience in Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation) systems to support on-site automation projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing troubleshooting and maintaining PLC programs ensuring efficient operation of industrial systems and supporting commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop modify and troubleshoot PLC programs using Allen-Bradley platforms (ControlLogix CompactLogix MicroLogix)
• Configure and maintain HMI/SCADA systems (FactoryTalk View or equivalent)
• Perform on-site commissioning startup and testing of automation systems
• Debug and resolve issues related to PLC logic I/O systems and communication networks
• Integrate PLCs with field devices such as transmitters switches valves motors VFDs and actuators
• Work with industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP DeviceNet Modbus)
• Read and interpret electrical schematics P&IDs and control system documentation
• Collaborate with engineering maintenance and operations teams over calls zoom and in-person meetings.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and industrys best practices
• Provide documentation including technical reports program backups and change logs

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Automation Mechatronics or related field
• 3 years of hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLC programming
• Strong knowledge of RSLogix 500 / Studio 5000 (Logix Designer)
• Experience with HMI/SCADA development (FactoryTalk preferred)
• Solid understanding of industrial automation systems and control theory
• Ability to work on-site independently and handle troubleshooting under pressure
• Travel to sites and stay to complete the work.
• Familiarity with industrial networking and system integration

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Safety PLC systems
• Prior experience in industries such as manufacturing oil & gas energy or automotive
• Rockwell Automation certification is additional preference
