Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled PLC Programmer with strong experience in Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation) systems to support on-site automation projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing troubleshooting and maintaining PLC programs ensuring efficient operation of industrial systems and supporting commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop modify and troubleshoot PLC programs using Allen-Bradley platforms (ControlLogix CompactLogix MicroLogix)
- Configure and maintain HMI/SCADA systems (FactoryTalk View or equivalent)
- Perform on-site commissioning startup and testing of automation systems
- Debug and resolve issues related to PLC logic I/O systems and communication networks
- Integrate PLCs with field devices such as transmitters switches valves motors VFDs and actuators
- Work with industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP DeviceNet Modbus)
- Read and interpret electrical schematics P&IDs and control system documentation
- Collaborate with engineering maintenance and operations teams over calls zoom and in-person meetings.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and industrys best practices
- Provide documentation including technical reports program backups and change logs
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Automation Mechatronics or related field
- 3 years of hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLC programming
- Strong knowledge of RSLogix 500 / Studio 5000 (Logix Designer)
- Experience with HMI/SCADA development (FactoryTalk preferred)
- Solid understanding of industrial automation systems and control theory
- Ability to work on-site independently and handle troubleshooting under pressure
- Travel to sites and stay to complete the work.
- Familiarity with industrial networking and system integration
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Safety PLC systems
- Prior experience in industries such as manufacturing oil & gas energy or automotive
- Rockwell Automation certification is additional preference

Work Environment

- 15% of travel
