PLC Electronics Technician

Position Overview:

The PLC / Electrical Technician is responsible for maintaining troubleshooting and improving plant electrical systems and automated equipment to ensure safe efficient and reliable operations. This position supports production through preventative maintenance system upgrades and on-call technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform basic wiring and installation of industrial electrical equipment
• Maintain and troubleshoot plant electrical systems and automated machinery
• Diagnose and resolve issues with PLC-controlled equipment
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on electrical and control systems
• Modify and update software and equipment as needed to support operations
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to automation and controls
• Participate in an on-call rotation including off-shifts and weekends
• Work primarily with control systems and software

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of industrial electronics or electrical experience
• Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Experience with:
• Motor control circuits
• Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
• HMIs
• Industrial networking
• Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
• Proficiency with Allen-Bradley automation and programming including:
• RSLogix 500 & 5000
• ControlLogix
• FactoryTalk ME
• RSLinx
• Associates Degree in Electronics or a related field is preferred
• Industrial electrician experience strongly desired
