Plate Saw Operator

REPONSIBILITIES:

• Cut order per nesting sheet instructions and document necessary information.
• Follow set guidelines for proper inspection of material and cut size.
• Keep work areas clean and unused material put away in proper location.
• Transfer completed pieces to inventory both physically and systematically.
• Required to use proper lifting equipment (forklift crane with vacuum lifter) when handling material.
• Know and understand proper procedures for operating plate saws and HEM saw.
• Maintain maintenance and inspection checklist for plate saws HEM saw and lifting equipment.
• Label completed cut pieces and unused remanent material.
• Use a forklift to load or unload move or stack materials or products safely in their appropriate place.
• Pull material using FIFO.
• Always maintain inventory batch traceability.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic computer skills read written directions take verbal instructions able to use measuring devices and basic math skills. Always wears required PPE.

Preferred Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
