Pronto Staffing is seeking a dependable Plasma Operator for a busy manufacturing facility in Decatur.
Job Summary
Pronto Staffing is now hiring a Plasma Operator for a temp-to-hire position on the 2nd this role you will set up and run metal cutting machines to prepare parts for production. We are looking for a reliable team member with basic mechanical skills who can deliver quality work in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate plasma cutting machines to cut metal parts
Load and position metal materials into the equipment correctly
Follow work orders measurements and production plans
Watch the cutting process and make simple machine adjustments
Check finished metal parts for quality and correct size
Remove completed parts and scrap metal from the workspace
Keep your work area clean and practice safety rules daily
Requirements
Previous experience in manufacturing machine operation or metal fabrication
Ability to set up and operate plasma cutting or CNC machinery
Ability to read a tape measure accurately
Good basic mechanical aptitude
Ability to speak read and understand English
Steel-toe boots required for work
Excellent attendance and reliable transportation
Work Environment
Indoor manufacturing facility environment
Able to stand for extended periods during your shift
Working around industrial machinery and metal parts
