This position will be filled as a Planner/Schedule Coordinator Planner/Schedule Coordinator II or Planner/Schedule Coordinator Sr based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
Manages the planning and scheduling of all maintenance and repair activities to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the Transmission System Secures available manpower and schedules activities in accordance with Transmissions Work Management System Performs long range planning for outage maintenance tasks develops integrated outage schedules for all outage tasks and schedules emergent repairs to the Transmission System Ensures all work is completed in accordance with Entergy procedures and within compliance guidelines (SoX) Ensures all SERC related work tasks are scheduled and completed within required periodicity; and all documentation is completed Works with Grid Engineers and Project Managers in planning and scheduling substation capital construction projects Performs long range planning for construction projects that require scheduled outages and develops integrated outage schedules for all outage tasks Interfaces with internal groups such as Project Management and Construction Major Accounts Asset Management Transmission Control Center Transmission Design Engineering Distribution Operations Center Distribution Operations and Transmission Operational Planning Additionally works with external customers and other utilities to schedule work.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs all maintenance planning activities to ensure the correct outage and manpower resources are available to supportpreventive maintenance and corrective maintenance activities prior to them being scheduled.
- Utilizes Maximo and Click to accomplish the following:
- Manages prioritizes and schedules all maintenance activities for their respective Grid
- Coordinate all substation switching
- Screens and consolidates work orders for projects
- Manages the exceptions associated with the schedule that Click generates
- Maintains and performs updates on scheduled work resolves time constraint conflicts identifies variances develops explanations to schedule changes monitors close out tasks and sends reminders as needed
- Identifies Click schedule errors analyzes alternatives and recommends solutions to schedule conflicts
- Creates work orders for tasks that do not auto-generate
- Coordinates and leads weekly scheduling conferences with local management personnel Adjusts schedules and work plans as necessary based on stakeholder feedback
- Serves as a member of the Incident Response Team to support storm events
- Utilizes TOMS to submit outages
- Ensures Energization Notices are sent per procedure
- Responsible to enable assets in Maximo and set maintenance templates
- Ensures all outstanding work is documented with a current work request detailing the required scope of work
- Ensures all completed work requests are closed out showing a detailed description of work completed and man hours logged against each task
- Performs long range planning for outage preventive/corrective maintenance tasks
- Develops annual plans that lay out the intended execution of all grid portfolio tasks
- Plans and schedules Capital Project Portfolio for the Grids to include resource allocation outage requests and material procurement
- Schedules and coordinates all SERC required maintenance tasks and ensures proper close-out of the work tasks
- Performs long range planning and coordination with major industrial customers and Nuclear Power Plants to perform all required preventative and corrective maintenance

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Education:
Associate degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred: Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
Minimum Experience:
Pl/Sc Coord: an Associate degree: 0 - 4 years of experience in a related field or function;without an Associate degree: at least 2 -4 years of experience in a related field or function
Pl/Sc Coord II: At least 4 - 6 years of experience in a related field or function with an Associate degree: 4 - 6 years of experience in a related field or function; without an Associate degree: at least 6 years of experience in a related field or function
Pl/Sc Coord Sr: At least 6 years of experience in a related field or functionwith an Associate degree: 6 years of experience in a related field or function;without an Associate degree: 8 years of experience in a related field or function
Preferred: At least 2 years of operational experience in the construction power plant or utility sector
Minimum Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency with current computer-based business applications
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work with multiple levels of the organizational structure
Ability to adapt to changing priorities
Ability to work well under pressure
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Experience/training in scheduling resources or maintenance and construction practices
Experience with Microsoft Office Excel and database applications

Preferred:
Experience in substation or relay maintenance and construction
Experience in planning and scheduling maintenance and construction activities
Excellent computer technical skills
Knowledge of/experience with Click Maximo and TOMS
Ability to understand and interpret policies and procedures applicable to the Business Unit
