Responsible for the production planning function overseeing the use of material and manpower in production and to find ways to maximize the use of company resources at the most productive manner. Also will take up additional roles to participate in technical and improvement related activities in the plant.
Responsibilities
- Production planning for in house manufacturing.
- Create issue and revise material requirement orders.
- Coordinate production schedules from Customer Sales Orders.
- Responsible to prepare material and hold capacity meetings.
- Participate in pre-production handling.
- Coordinate for prototype.
- Work closely with the Buyer and serve as a backup material planner.
- Support and follow SCCI strive to reach the relevant KPI.
- Communicate with customer support for confirmation of lead time and production situation and for urgent orders/commitment on BPHE deliveries.
- Update/report to supervisor and/or management on progression of production activities/functions duties and responsibilities regularly.
- To perform other work duties and responsibilities as required by the immediate superior and/or management from time to time.
- Follow all safety rules procedures and instructions.
- Use PPE and safety equipment as required.
- Report unsafe conditions equipment or practices to supervisors immediately.
- Participate in safety training and drills.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to minimize hazards.
Qualifications Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Commercial and/or Technical Education or experience in similar position.
- Minimum 2-3 years work experience in manufacturing.
Skills and Competencies
- Exposure in an ISO certified manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work under pressure meet deadlines and handle multiple and competing priorities.
- Good team work spirit and excellent communication skills.
- Good command of written and oral English language.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications internet and email.
- Ability to self-motivate and possess independent problem solving.
