Pipeline Locating Technician

Ameritrace is hiring full-time Pipelne Locating Technicians to travel around Carlsbad NM. You will be walking around outdoor spaces and accurately locating underground lines. Our service area covers Big Spring Midland Odessa Pecos New Mexico and the surrounding area.

No experience No problem! This is an entry-level position!

YOUR DAY AS A PIPELINE LOCATING TECHNICIAN

To succeed in this entry-level role youll need to be highly accurate detail-oriented and compliant with all safety procedures. Youll also need to be eager to learn more and committed to completing thorough work. Heres what you can expect:

• Traveling in a company vehicle to various outdoor spaces (fields backyards parking lots etc.)
• Walking around the property and using tools like EM locators to identify underground pipes and cables
• Accurately marking underground line locations and following color codes
• Completing detailed job reports
• Thoroughly following all safety procedures to keep yourself and your team members safe

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

While experience would be great its not required for this entry-level role. Heres what were looking for:

• 18 years old
• Eagerness to learn more and readiness to get to work
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
• Valid drivers license and a clean driving record
• Reliable work performance
• 6 months of line locating experience required
