Pay: $35.00 per hour.

Sign-on bonus: $2500.

Location: Dallas VA Medical Center 4500 S. Lancaster Rd Dallas TX 75216

Schedule: Not to exceed 40 hours per week between 7:30AM-4:00PM.

Responsibilities:

• This requirement is to provide pipefitter for installing maintaining and repairing a wide range of plumbing steam gas and medical facility systems including water distribution drainage sterilizers laundry and dietetic equipment steam systems and medical gases.
• The employee must be a journeyman pipefitter with at least four (4) years of experience capable of reading blueprints and following standard codes and safety practices.
• Work is assigned by a foreman but carried out independently with occasional spot checks and the employee may supervise helpers when needed.
• The job requires frequent physical exertionstanding bending and working in cramped areaswith exposure to cuts bruises odors and infectious risks.
• Duties are performed both indoors and outdoors including in basements kitchens and manholes.

Qualifications:

• OSHA Certification.
• Texas state plumbers/pipefitters license.
• Experience in painting.
