Pipefitter

NextGen Technologies is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Pipe Fitter/Technician to join our commercial service department in North Charleston SC. This position focuses on the inspection testing maintenance and service of wet dry and specialty sprinkler systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect test and maintain commercial sprinkler systems and fire pumps in accordance with applicable codes.
• Operate sprinkler controls alarm panels and critical system components.
• Document inspections and service reports using electronic reporting procedures.
• Coordinate necessary repairs with customers and team members.
• Respond to service calls troubleshoot issues and correct them accordingly.
• Provide after-hours emergency support as required on a rotated schedule.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on commercial fire sprinkler system experience; pipe fitting skills are a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of fire safety codes and standards.
• Valid South Carolina drivers license with a clean driving record.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs work at heights and operate in confined spaces or extreme weather conditions.
• NICET I certification is preferred; however we will provide support for candidates to obtain this certification.
• Be able to work independently and with a team.
• Adherence to standard safety protocols and a willingness to learn.
