We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing repairing and maintaining piping systems in various settings. This role requires a strong understanding of pipefitting techniques safety standards and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. The Pipefitter will play a crucial role in ensuring that all piping systems operate efficiently and meet industry codes and standards.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the layout of piping systems.
- Install repair and maintain pipelines for water gas steam or other substances
- Perform pipe threading and cutting using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Use power tools effectively to assist in the installation and maintenance of piping systems.
- Ensure all installations comply with relevant codes and standards including fire sprinkler fitting requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections of piping systems to identify potential issues or necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
- Apply basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe installation.
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry.
- Strong ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficient in welding techniques particularly FCAW.
- Experience with pipeline installation and maintenance is preferred.
- Familiarity with pipe threading techniques and equipment.
- Competence in using various power tools safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of plumbing principles codes standards and safety regulations.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
