Pipefitter Foreman (ATL CPF EF)

We perform installation rigging millwrighting and maintenance for manufacturing and industrial markets across the Southeast.

Southern Industrial Constructors Inc. seeks a Pipefitter Foreman for a project in Maryville TN. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3-months.

• Sets up hoisting equipment for raising and placing structural steel members.
• Fastens steel members to cable of hoist using chain cable or rope.
• Signals worker operating hoisting equipment to lift and place steel member.
• Guides member using tag line (rope).
• Pulls pushes or pries steel members into approximate position while member is supported by hoisting device.
• Forces members into final position using turnbuckles crowbars jacks and hand tools.
• Aligns holes in member with corresponding holes in previously placed member by drifting drift pins or handle of wrench through holes.
• Verifies vertical and horizontal alignment of members using plumb bob and level.
• Bolts aligned members to keep them in position until they can be permanently bolted or welded in place.
• Alter steel members.
• Detect recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
• As required perform safety inspections of work area equipment and tools in accordance with SIC policy to ensure compliance with government regulations customer requirements and SICs safety program. Resolve all discrepancies found through inspections.
• Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC.
• Observes SIC/Client Safety processes and procedures at all times.
• Maintain a safe clean and organized working environment.

• May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to move in and around confided spaces and uneven areas
• Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees alarms and other job-related noises
• Must be able to safely access all areas of property and buildings
• Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment
• Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position
• Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools
• Must be capable of standing for long periods of time bending consistently working on ladders and in awkward body positions

• Conditions include working in office shop busy traffic areas freezers and warehouses with frequent exposure to dirt dust grease oil vibrations and adverse weather conditions. Must be able to safely access all areas of property and buildings
