This position is open exclusively to only current Northeastern University Co-Op students.

Work Period: January 2027 to June 2027. This is a full - time 40 hours per week position with 5 days in office.

About the Role

Were looking for a builder. Someone who sees a messy spreadsheet a clunky workflow or tedious manual tasks and thinks: I could fix that. Youll join the Technical Operations team at Pioneering Medicines and use the latest tools like Claude Code Vercel Zapier and more to build real applications; dashboards automation tools data pipelines AI-powered workflows that our team uses every day to develop medicines.

This isnt a shadow someone and take notes co-op. Youll own projects end to end launchthings people rely on have the freedom to pick the tools and approaches that make sense and have access to best-in-class tools & expertise. If youve been building side projects hacking on AI tools or just love the feeling of making something that works this is your chance to do it at a company developing 20 drug programs across multiple modalities and diseases areas.

What Youll Actually Do

Youll work across nearly every function in TechOps; process and analytical developmentportfolio & program management finance contracts and regulatory building tools that make these teams faster and smarter. Some examples of whats on the table:

• Build and iterate on React-based dashboards and internal web apps that track drug development portfolios resource forecasting and program milestones
• Create AI-powered workflows to automate document generation data extraction and reporting
• Connect data across systems (Smartsheet SharePoint Benchling and others) into unified usable tools
• Prototype new approaches if you find a better way to solve a problem pitch it and build it
• Work directly with senior leaders across CMC functions to understand their pain points and turn them into working software

What Were Looking For

• Currently pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree in Computer Science Data Science Engineering or a related field
• Hands-on experience building applications-not just coursework butideallyprojects you can show us (GitHub repos deployed appsandside projects all count)
• Familiarity with at least some of: React/JavaScript Python HTML/CSS SQL or similar
• Experience with or strong interest in AI-assisted development tools (CursorVercelClaude Code GitHubCopilotReplitAgent etc.)
• Comfort working with ambiguityyoull often get a problem not a spec
• Ability to work on-site in Cambridge MA

Bonus Points

• Youve built something with an LLM API (Claude OpenAI etc.)
• Experience with data visualization libraries (Recharts D3 Plotly)
• Familiarity with life sciences pharma or drug development
• Youve contributed to open-source projects or have a portfolio/blog showing your work
