Piano Accompanist (Part-Time)

The Part-Time Piano Accompanist supports the middle school and high school vocal music programs through collaborative piano performance and rehearsal accompaniment. This position requires a flexible dependable musician who can work with student ensembles across two campus sites and assist in preparing students for performances contests and competitions.

• Accompany choirs soloists and ensembles during rehearsals and performances
• Travel between the middle school and high school campuses as needed
• Provide piano accompaniment for:
  • Concerts
  • Daily or sectional rehearsals
  • OSSAA contests
  • Show choir competitions and performances
• Collaborate closely with choir directors to support instructional goals and performance preparation
• Assist students with musical accuracy tempo entrances and stylistic interpretation during rehearsals
• Maintain professionalism punctuality and preparedness for all rehearsals and events

• Proficient piano performance skills with strong sight-reading ability
• Ability to confidently read and interpret vocal and choral scores
• Experience accompanying soloists and ensembles preferred

• Ability to adapt quickly during rehearsals and live performances
• Previous experience working with school-aged musicians preferred

This is a part-time position with a schedule that varies based on rehearsals performances competitions and seasonal concert demands. Some evening and occasional weekend commitments are required.
