Job Summary
At Regeneron we use science and innovation to develop life-changing medicines for people with serious diseases. We are seeking a Physician Scientist to join our Neuroscience and Ophthalmology Therapeutic Area Genetics (TAG) team within the Regeneron Genetics this role you will translate human genetic evidence into actionable insights across neurological psychiatric ophthalmological hearing- and aging-related diseases designing and interpreting large complex genetic studies while collaborating with Genome Informatics Analytical Genomics Clinical Informatics and other RGC teams.

- Apply human genetics to target discovery indication selection and identification of patient subgroups likely to respond to treatment
- Design execute and interpret genetics studies alongside human genetics scientists bioinformaticians and statistical geneticists
- Partner with Therapeutic Area Genetics colleagues and RGC teams to deliver complex high-quality scientific work
- Generate summarize and present findings to internal and external audiences
- Lead or contribute to scientific reports and publications
- Represent the TAG team in cross-functional initiatives across RGC and Regeneron
- Collaborate with external industry and academic partners in scientific consortia
- MD or MD/PhD with a strong background in human genetics or genetic epidemiology
- Experience designing and leading human genetics studies that deliver medically relevant findings
- Knowledge of study designs and analyses such as GWAS exome or genome sequencing across cohort case-control or family-based studies
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex genetic findings to varied audiences
- Familiarity with statistical genetics applications (e.g. polygenic risk scores quantitative trait analyses Mendelian randomization) and programming/statistical software (e.g. Python R) preferred
- Experience integrating genetics with other omics technologies (e.g. epigenetics proteomics RNA-seq) preferred
