- Performs physical examinations and orders diagnostic tests
- Interprets examination findings and test results and implements treatment plans
- Provides comprehensive continuing health maintenance and medical care to the entire family unit
- Participates in surgical obstetrical gynecological and critical care procedures according to training
- Instructs other healthcare providers and non-medical personnel on health-related topics
