Hackensack Meridian Health is currently seeking a Network Telehealth Remote Psychiatrist to join our dynamic Behavioral Health this unique role you will enjoy a highly desirable 90% Clinical and 10% Administrative/Academic split. You will provide critical telepsychiatry services across our network while shaping the next generation of medical professionals as a faculty member of the Department of Psychiatry at Jersey Shore University Medical Center (JSUMC).
Clinical Responsibilities :
- Direct Patient Care: Provide top-tier Emergency Department (ED) Consultation-Liaison (C/L) and inpatient Telepsychiatry services.
- Rapid Response: Ensure timely psychiatric interventions by returning 90% of calls from the Emergency Room within fifteen (15) minutes.
- Collaborative Care: Serve as the collaborating physician for Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) executing collaboration agreements and providing ongoing support.
- Network Coverage: Provide additional psychiatric services as directed by leadership to ensure seamless patient care and participate in the departments on-call schedule.
- Compliance: Adhere to all consultation requirements as stipulated in the Medical Staff Bylaws.
Academic & Administrative Responsibilities :
- Teach & Mentor: Supervise and educate psychiatric residents fellows and medical students utilizing remote applications (Zoom Google Meet).
- Faculty Engagement: Actively participate in administrative meetings as a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry at JSUMC.
- Quality Improvement: Play a vital role in our quality improvement programs by helping develop measurable performance criteria reviewing outcomes and implementing care improvement processes.
- Leadership: Serve on vital committees and task forces as needed working to foster the mission vision and values of HMH.
Candidate Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
- Eligible for medical licensure in the required state(s).
- Comfortable and proficient with telehealth platforms and remote communication tools.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to high-quality fast-paced clinical care.

Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.
