HealthRIGHT 360 a nonprofit organization and a family of programs is committed to providing accessible and comprehensive healthcare services to vulnerable populations. Our mission is to tackle systemic barriers to healthcare and promote health equity for all. We offer a wide range of services including mental health care residential and outpatient substance use treatment and primary health services. Additionally we provide transitional support for individuals re-entering the community after involvement in the criminal justice system. By integrating physical and behavioral health we empower individuals to overcome challenges by addressing social determinants of health fostering resilience and facilitating Integrated Care Center Clinic is a federally qualified health center that provides primary care behavioral health addiction treatment psychiatry dental care and more. We provide care to those most in need including those who are suffering from homelessness mental illness substance use mental illness and chronic medical conditions. We provide team-based care in an integrated care Addiction Provider (MD) is responsible for the management of withdrawal the initiation maintenance and support of Medically Assisted Treatment of alcohol and drug use disorders for HealthRIGHT 360 clients. The Addiction provider is responsible for taking medical histories performing physical examinations using screening tools ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and diagnosing and treating common illnesses and injuries. This position is responsible for collaborating with the Intake Department to assess safe entry into our detox and residential treatment programs for patients with substance use disorders. Addiction Providers may be located within HealthRIGHT 360s residential recovery programs detox programs or community health centers to provide direct patient Addiction Provider may also provide supervision and oversight for Advanced Practice Providers in Collaborative Agreements providing supervision and having input in the clinical review performance appraisal peer review and hiring and termination of such staff. The Addiction Provider also supervises the MAT healthcare treatment team in the absence of the Director of Addiction Medicine which includes: managing Medical Assistant functions and Registered Nurse functions. The position may require work during the night and on RESPONSIBILITIESAssesses drug and alcohol use and determines the level of severity using screening tools and current DSM medication withdrawal management for patients detoxing from drugs and alcohol to prevent withdrawal appropriate level of treatment care based on current drug and alcohol various Medical Assisted Treatments to reduce harm and prevent complications from drug and alcohol and prescribes Naloxone to patients to reduce harm from drug supports and cares for patients receiving medication-assisted treatment in continuity and and interprets patient history symptoms physical findings and/or diagnostic information to develop appropriate complete and detailed records of patients history assessment and health care medical histories performs physical examinations orders and interprets laboratory tests and diagnoses and treats common illnesses and and treatment of illness and injury related to addiction use with the Director of Addiction Medicine for treatment or referral with behavior health and psychiatry teams at oversight for Advanced Practice Providers including entering into a Collaborative Agreement with the Advanced Practice Provider providing supervision having input in the clinical review performance appraisal peer review and hiring and termination of providers and clinical support staff. And perform other duties as Certification and Experience M.D. or D. O. degree from an accredited United States medical completed internship and residency at an accredited United States Internship or Residency Certified in family medicine or internal certified or registered in addiction medicine or equivalent active California medical to participate in the CMS Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement active DEA license with X waiver to prescribe of a current valid California License to practice as a Physician Assistant issued by the California Board of Medical Quality BLS/ACLS certificate or recertification within 2 months of hirePossession or DEA license and X waiver or will obtain one within one month of :Clinical experience with and commitment to working with diverse client populations suffering from substance use disorder and addiction.
