Job Description:

CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital South is a 200-bed facility located in Corpus Christi Texas serving as a cornerstone of healthcare on the south side of the city. The hospital recently underwent significant expansion including a newly expanded Emergency Department and a doubled Intensive Care Unit to better serve the growing needs of the community. The facility also includes a Hospital Outpatient Department (HOPD) a dedicated surgical hospital and acute care center with 170 total beds and a 36-bed surgical center.

Gastroenterology services are well-supported at Spohn South with four dedicated endoscopy suites on site two additional suites at the inpatient center and all outfitted with brand-new Olympus equipment including two newly constructed state-of-the-art endoscopy suites. The facility also features the latest in surgical innovation including the da Vinci 5 robotic surgical systems- CHRISTUS Health was the first health system in the world to receive these next- generation systems reflecting our strong commitment to our physicians and to advancing patient care. CHRISTUS Health is building a pod of four gastroenterologists based at Spohn South. This team will work closely with CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline our flagship tertiary referral center for seamless management of higher-acuity cases.
