JOB OPPORTUNITY: Physician (Emergency Medicine)

Hartford Hospital seeks a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician to perform comprehensive assessments and treatment of patients that present for emergency services at Hartford Hospital; evaluate patients medical history vital signs and physical examination findings; order and interpret diagnostic tests; provide initial treatment and stabilization for patients with life-threatening or potentially life-threatening conditions; prescribe and administer medications fluids and other therapies as needed; perform procedures such as intubation and wound care; consult and coordinate with other specialists such as surgeons cardiologists neurologists and toxicologists for further management and referral; and document and communicate the clinical findings diagnosis treatment plan and disposition of each patient. Will work at Hartford Hospital 80 Seymour Street Hartford CT 06106.

The minimum requirements for this position are: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) or the foreign equivalent; completion of a U.S. residency in Emergency Medicine; board certification or board eligibility in Emergency Medicine; and the possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Connecticut medical license.
