Job Summary

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join a dynamic rehabilitation team in Alturas CA. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist the PTA will support the delivery of high-quality physical therapy services across acute care skilled nursing and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Monitor evaluate and document patient responses to therapy interventions
  • Assist patients with therapeutic exercises gait training neuromuscular re-education and mobility activities
  • Utilize therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound electrical stimulation spinal traction and soft tissue mobilization
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support optimal patient outcomes
  • Ensure a safe clean and compliant treatment environment per facility standards
  • Assist with scheduling front desk support and supply coordination as needed
Requirements
  • Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program required
  • Active California PTA License required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Prior experience in acute care skilled nursing or outpatient rehabilitation preferred
  • Strong understanding of physical therapy procedures and modalities
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
