Job Description:

The client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Physical Therapy Assistant you will work closely with our licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapeutic services to our residents. Your role will be crucial in helping our residents regain their strength mobility and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the licensed Physical Therapist in evaluating and treating residents according to their individualized therapy plans

- Implement therapeutic exercises and activities to improve residents strength range of motion and function

- Monitor and document residents progress and communicate with the Physical Therapist about any changes or concerns

- Instruct and educate residents and their families on therapeutic exercises and techniques to continue at home

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for residents

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all therapy services provided

Qualifications:

- Associates degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program

- Current state license or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant

- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation setting is preferred

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

- Physical ability to assist residents with mobility and perform therapeutic exercises
