Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA)-PRN

Hourly Rate: $35.00-$38.00

Kindred Hospital East New Jersey is a long-term acute care hospital offering the same in depth care you would receive in a traditional hospital but for an extended recovery period. We partner with your physician and offer 24-hour clinical care seven days a week so you can start your journey to wellness. We are located close to transit bus and train lines and major highways including I-95 and Garden State Parkway NJ-3 and NJ-21.

How youll contribute

Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist provides physical therapy services to patients needing to develop recover and maintain physical mobility/function.

Essential Functions

• Implement treatment plan developed by supervising therapists using appropriate modalities.

• Seeks consultation as necessary.
  Monitors patients responses to the treatment plan.

• Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the physical therapist.
  Documents services provided and patient response/progress.
  Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
  Assists with patient discharge planning.

• Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs.

Additional Information

Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

• Education: Associates degree Required;
• Graduate of a Program in Discipline Required

Licenses and Certifications:

Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of NJ
Basic Life Support (BLS)
