About the Unit

Corewell Health physical therapy provides treatments to individuals of all ages that have pain or physical limitations affecting their ability to move and perform everyday activities. Our team of physical therapists and physical therapist assistants are licensed health care professionals focused on maximizing movement potential injury prevention treatment and sustainable wellness.

Scope of Work:

The physical therapist is responsible for examining evaluating and developing a treatment plan for patients with functional limitations and disabilities. PTs provide consultation to healthcare providers regarding a patients continuum of care. The individual in this position is required to appropriately interact with all patients regardless of age or culture and to adhere to the Corewell Health customer service standards.

Standard Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. Education / Training:

  • Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy required. Masters or Doctorate Degree preferred.

Work Experience:

  • Written or verbal communication skills required. Word processing and computer skills required. It is preferred that pediatric therapists have NDT certification and competency in serial casting.

Certification Licensure Registration:

  • Michigan State License in Physical Therapy required.

  • BLS certification required.
