Job Summary
Adelphi is seeking a qualified contract Physical Therapist (PT) to provide school-based physical therapy services in a school setting to students with special needs in Rio Grande City Texas.
The ideal candidate will provide evaluative therapeutic and consultation services to assigned students in accordance with school district requirements while supporting the development recovery and improvement of skills needed for daily living in school home and social environments in accordance with established guidelines.

Requirements:
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
Current license to practice physical therapy in Texas.
Minimum of three years of experience working with children.
Experience evaluating and providing therapeutic services to students with disabilities.
Knowledge of FIE/FIIE reports IEP goals and objectives and ARD Committee procedures.
Responsibilities:
Provide evaluative and therapeutic physical therapy services to assigned students with special needs.
Conduct assessments using appropriate instruments and techniques to determine students need for special education and related services.
Interpret assessment scores and other data and prepare reports for inclusion in FIE/FIIE documentation.
Formulate monitor and report progress toward students IEP goals and objectives.
Interpret and explain assessment results to the ARD Committee parents and District staff.
Collaborate with school personnel and other stakeholders to complete evaluations and services within mandated timelines.
Provide consultation to parents and staff regarding student needs therapy strategies and recommended supports.
Participate in the Districts SHARS Medicaid initiatives and submit all required documentation.
Attend staff development activities and planning sessions as needed.
Perform any other related duties as assigned.
