Physical Therapist (PT) Pediatrics Rehab PRN

Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) to join our Pediatrics Rehab team. This role will be PRN/as needed requiring at least 16 hrs/month (including 1 weekend day) 1 holiday and 1 support day

Physical Therapist PRN Job Responsibilities:

• The Physical Therapist PRN selects evaluations and treatment methods appropriate for the patients diagnosis age group and physical/emotional status while formulating appropriate treatment plans.
• Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities equipment and protocols.
• Perform re-evaluations according to department guidelines while adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
• Adheres to department policies regarding the timeframe form and content of written evaluations progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Communicate effectively with patients families medical staff care team members students supervisors and outside contacts.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy
• Licensure: Virginia Physical Therapist License or Physical Therapist compact privileges required upon start
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy
• Licensure: Virginia Physical Therapist License or Physical Therapist compact privileges required upon start
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Physical Therapy or Doctor of Physical Therapy degree
• 1 year of Physical Therapist (PT) pediatrics experience in the hospital setting
