Setting: Outpatient Rehabilitation
No Weekends or Holidays Required
- Traveler Pay: $70$74/hr ($2625$2775/week) based on experience
- Local Pay: $60$63/hr ($2250$2362/week) based on experience
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join a busy outpatient rehabilitation team. The Physical Therapist will evaluate develop and implement individualized treatment plans for adult and pediatric patients with a variety of orthopedic neurological and functional impairments. This role focuses on restoring mobility improving function reducing pain and preventing disability through evidence-based physical therapy interventions.
The ideal candidate is patient-focused collaborative and committed to delivering high-quality rehabilitative care in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Evaluate patients and establish measurable treatment goals based on functional outcomes and individual needs.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based physical therapy techniques and modalities.
- Perform diagnostic assessments including muscle strength joint mobility neurological and functional ability evaluations.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Provide therapeutic interventions designed to improve mobility strength balance coordination and overall function.
- Educate patients and family members on treatment plans home exercise programs injury prevention and ongoing care strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations treatments patient progress and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with physicians rehabilitation staff and interdisciplinary healthcare teams regarding patient care and outcomes.
- Provide guidance and direction to Physical Therapist Assistants rehabilitation aides and students as appropriate.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives staff meetings and continuing education activities.
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies infection prevention standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with training and onboarding of new rehabilitation staff as requested.
- Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited Physical Therapy program required.
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
- Current Massachusetts Physical Therapist License required.
- Current BLS Certification required.
- Previous outpatient physical therapy experience preferred.
- Experience treating adult and pediatric patient populations preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
- Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques therapeutic exercise and evidence-based treatment practices.
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development.
Candidates with specialist certification may also be considered for advanced clinical responsibilities including:
- Serving as a clinical resource and subject matter expert within a specialty area.
- Assisting leadership with program development and clinical practice initiatives.
- Providing mentorship and education to rehabilitation staff.
- Supporting quality improvement and specialty program development.
Additional Requirement:
- Documentation of recognized Physical Therapy Specialist Certification.
