As a Physical Therapist at Devereux you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. We offer:

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities Autism Spectrum Disorder and dual diagnoses. Located at our NY Cares school in Mt. Kisco NY this position is responsible for planning and administering medically-prescribed Physical Therapy. They will complete all paperwork associated with assigned students Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or programmatic needs including but not limited to: daily notes monthly reports quarterly reports annual reviews triennial evaluations annual assessments etc. The Physical Therapist will collaborate with teachers to support the classroom functioning of their assigned students and improving motor skills to the classroom addition they will communicate with parents as needed to support their childs generalization of skills to the home environment as appropriate. The Physical Therapist may be asked to supervise Physical Therapy Assistants as needed.

Salary: $96917.36 - $103701.57 annually commensurate with education and experience

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Physical Therapy license and eligibility to provide these services in NYS school settings

EXPERIENCE: Must have experience working with children/adolescents/adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities/autism spectrum disorders. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient computer skills and mastery of Microsoft Office applications.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Free of dependency and abuse of illegal or illicit drugs alcohol inhalants or other chemical substances. Significant prolonged and frequent amounts of walking standing sitting stooping bending and lifting of 70 or more lbs. is required
