Physical Therapist

Full time (32-40 hrs/week)$45-50/hrSUMMARYProvides medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries deconditioning or muscle nerve joint and bone diseases to restore function relieve pain and prevent JOB FUNCTIONSTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below:Evaluates program participants through appropriate evaluation procedures and develops written treatment programs for each appropriate treatment programs and communicates program participant needs to appropriate staff. Provides needed re-evaluation and programmatic changes as timely and appropriate program participant/administrative and department adherence to accreditation standards licensure standards professional code of ethics and programmatic meetings on request for team reports policy setting exchange of information etc.; attends other appropriate meetings/conferences as clinical meetings to exchange discuss and evaluate program participant treatment on rehabilitation treatment team(s). Communicates with physicians staff professionals/paraprofessionals consultants families and community resources as needed to ensure effectiveness of physical therapy and implements in-service programs for staff and other groups as requested/assigned by in orientation programs for new staff program participants and PT/PTA service summaries as requested by case manager/program director and maintains daily billing summaries and turns them into the appropriate other related duties and activities as RESPONSIBILITIESDisciplines specific supervision of PTAs and Interns as Knowledge and Skills required by the JobThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or abilities required to perform the job:Education and Experience:Bachelors Degree in Physical TherapyOne years experience preferredCertificates Licenses and Registrations:State licensure in physical Requirements:Travel as neededPhysical Requirements:Heavy work.
