Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join a Skilled Nursing Facility in La Mesa California. This role involves working with a geriatric and post-acute population assisting patients in their recovery from surgery illness or injury. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist you will help deliver hands-on care aimed at improving mobility strength and overall functional independence. Job Responsibilities:
Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting
Provide therapeutic exercises gait training and functional mobility activities
Monitor patient progress and communicate any changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist
Educate patients and caregivers on exercises safety and proper mobility techniques
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and patient progress
Ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements

Requirements
Active state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in California
Current BLS/CPR certification
Minimum of 6 months of recent PTA experience within the last 5 years preferred
Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or geriatric setting is a plus
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Required Skills:
