Physical Therapist Assistant - Inpatient Acute Care PRN

Location: MonHealth in Morgantown WV

Schedule: PRN Sun- Sat (Holidays & Weekends)

HealthWorks is the inpatient therapy provider within Mon Health Morgantown WV. Our inpatient hospital and multidisciplinary team of clinicians is seeking per diem (PRN) licensed physical therapist assistants (LPTA) for as-needed coverage.

This is a licensed clinical position requiring a WV state PTA license.

Position Summary

Our 188-bed acute care hospital is open year-round with additional hours available based on needs including census influx vacation sick and personal leave of current clinicians. With our PRN/per diem there are no set hours or time commitments on either end. Previous experience is HIGHLY preferred but we are OK considering new graduate physical therapist assistants.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
  • Implement with minimal supervision high quality physical therapy services for patients caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
Qualifications
  • College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
  • Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
  • Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
  • CPR certification
