Job Summary
Under managements supervision the Phlebotomy Intern will have the opportunity to participate and learn about the various duties and responsibilities of a phlebotomist. The intern will have the opportunity to gain a better understanding of healthcare and more specifically patient experience and customer/patient satisfaction through a variety of assignments such as shadowing staff in the field learning some specimen handling and receiving skills attending program meetings and trainings as well as a variety of other tasks.
- Prefer a willingness to learn.
- Prefer demonstrated knowledge of computers and commonly used applications.
- Prefer effective customer service skills and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of staff and the public both in person and by telephone.
HS EQ: High School Diploma GED or Certificate
