Asa Healthcare Staffing is actively recruiting experienced Phlebotomists for an upcoming federal healthcare staffing contract supporting the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston Texas.

We are seeking dependable professional and experienced phlebotomists who are comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment serving our nations veterans.

• Full-Time Part-Time & PRN opportunities
• Day Evening Night Weekend & Holiday shifts available
• Hospital inpatient & outpatient settings
• Government facility / long-term opportunity
• Competitive pay: $23$27/hr

• Venipuncture and specimen collection
• Inpatient and outpatient blood draws
• Difficult sticks including geriatric and oncology patients
• Proper patient identification and specimen labeling
• Maintain HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
• Provide excellent customer service and patient care

• Minimum 2 years of recent phlebotomy experience
• Phlebotomy certification required
• BLS certification required
• Experience in hospital settings preferred
• Must be reliable and professional
• Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays

• VA or government facility experience a plus but not required
• High-volume specimen collection
• Inpatient hospital experience
• Experience with difficult venipuncture
