Pay Information:

• Pay Rate: $20.55/hour

• Sign On Bonus: $3000

Standard Schedule (Danvers Massachusetts):

• Variable shift Monday-Friday Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday

• Variable schedule based on donor and community needs. May include early mornings evenings weekendsholidaysand occasional overnight travel. Schedules areprovided2-3 weeks in advance.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):

Nohealthcareexperience No your background is in retail hospitalityor customer servicewellprovide paid trainingso you can build the skills needed to collect lifesaving blood donations. WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):

• Welcome and support blood donors throughout the donation process

• Build meaningful connections and provide outstanding customer service

• Collectbloodand manage blood products following safety and quality standards

• Work with teammates to create a positive donor experience

• Set up and tear down equipment at mobile blood drive locations

• Drive Red Crossor personalvehicles to community blood drive locations. Mileage reimbursement provided.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required

• A current valid drivers license with good driving record is required.

• DOT certification may be required in some locations. If required must pass applicable DOT physical and related requirements and be able to possess or obtain a medical certification of at least one-year duration.

• Physical requirements may include the ability to lift push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs good manual dexterity the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and adapt to long irregular hours and frequent schedule changes is may require minimum height of 60 inches to ensure the ability to safely operate Red Cross vehicles.

• At the American Red Cross we conduct many mobile blood drives at businesses schools and many other locations. All staff work as a team to setup and tear down the equipment required to conduct a mobile blood drive.

• Basic computer skills are required. Must be proficient with Microsoft office applications.

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU THE COMPETITIVE EDGE (Preferred Qualifications):

• Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA MA EMT etc)

• Prior leadership experience
