Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $28$30/hr Local $30$39/hr Travel

We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to support a busy Medical Laboratory Services team. The ideal candidate will have strong hospital-based phlebotomy experience excellent patient interaction skills and the ability to perform specimen collection and laboratory support duties in a fast-paced acute care environment.

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on patients of all ages.

• Collect label process centrifuge and prepare specimens for testing.

• Perform blood draws blood cultures throat swabs MRSA swabs urine collections heel sticks and finger sticks.

• Conduct specialized collections and diagnostic testing as required.

• Ensure specimen integrity and resolve collection or identification issues.

• Enter patient information and process laboratory orders.

• Communicate with physicians nurses and laboratory staff regarding specimen and order requirements.

• Maintain laboratory supplies equipment and work areas.

• Transport specimens when required.

• Minimum 3 years of recent hospital or acute care phlebotomy experience.

• Current BLS (BCLS) certification.

• Strong venipuncture and specimen collection skills across all age groups.

• Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS) and hospital information systems (HIS).

• EPIC experience preferred.

• Strong communication organizational and patient care skills.

• Ability to work PM shifts weekends and holidays as required.
