Job Summary
Location: Santa Rosa CA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Mid Shift 4x10 Hours (2:00 PM 1:00 AM)
Schedule Type: Non-Block Schedule
We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join a fast-paced acute care hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have strong venipuncture skills excellent patient interaction abilities and experience working in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on patients of all ages
- Ensure proper patient identification and specimen labeling
- Process and transport specimens in accordance with laboratory protocols
- Maintain patient comfort and safety during procedures
- Collaborate with laboratory and clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate results
- Utilize electronic health record systems for documentation
- Float to other units or affiliated facilities as required
- Minimum 2 years of recent phlebotomy experience
- Active CPT I Certification (State of California)
- BLS Certification (AHA required)
- Experience with Epic/Beaker preferred
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- First-time travelers will be considered (subject to screening)
- Floating may be required to nearby affiliated facilities
- Local candidates are accepted
- Pending licenses are not accepted
- Requested Time Off (RTO) must be submitted with application
- Guaranteed hours with potential for one call-off per two-week pay period
