Pharmacy Technician (Refill Calls)

Shields Health Solutions is redefining patient care through specialty pharmacy. Were hiring aPharmacy Refill Technician to support the pharmacy team by ensuring accurate timely filling and delivery of specialty medications. This role includes assisting patients through the refill process handling both outbound and inbound calls and helping maintain efficient pharmacy operations.

What Youll Do:

• Provide compassionate knowledgeable assistance to patients providers and staff.
• Make outbound refill calls and process requests promptly.
• Answer and triage incoming pharmacy calls.
• Clarify prescription orders with pharmacists or clinicians.
• Coordinate medication refills and complete accurate data entry.
• Assist with claim adjudication and troubleshoot rejected claims.

What You Need:

• State-registered (Texas) Pharmacy Technician; CPhT or ExCPT required
• 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician; High School Diploma or GED
• Strong communication organization and tech skills
• Empathy integrity and a team-first mindset

Solid computer skills are required including proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook Teams Word Excel and PowerPoint) for communication documentation and data management as well as navigating the internet and web-based platforms. Data entry and computer skills will be evaluated through an assessment as part of the pre-employment process.
