Pharmacy Technician

The Pharmacy Technician plays a critical behindthescenes role in patient care. By ensuring medications are prepared labeled packaged and delivered accurately this role helps ensure patients receive the right therapy at the right time safely and compliantly.

In this role youll contribute to work that:

While patients may never see this work directly they feel its impact every day.

In this role you will:

• Perform pharmacy technical and clerical duties under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist
• Prepare label package and stage prescriptions including sterile admixtures unitdose and prepackaged medications
• Generate and process batches for prescription preparation and shipment
• Enter and maintain accurate prescription inventory and shipment data in pharmacy systems
• Generate labels pick lists and packages in accordance with dispensing orders
• Coordinate with intake and billing teams to ensure insurance authorization prior to shipment
• Communicate shipment details with field staff and managers to ensure accurate delivery
• Receive unpack verify and document incoming drug and supply deliveries
• Monitor outbound shipments to confirm delivery and file documentation accurately
• Perform and document quality assurance activities
• Maintain clean organized and compliant pharmacy workspaces
• Manage inventory levels rotation and returns in alignment with company goals
• Participate in training quality meetings and continuing education to maintain regulatory and clinical knowledge

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in retail hospital or specialty pharmacy
• Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduation from a pharmacy technician training program
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB)
• Experience with CareTend or similar pharmacy software

Candidates who do not currently hold the required pharmacy technician credentials may still be considered. LUX Infusion is willing to provide training and developmental support to a qualified candidate who demonstrates the aptitude and commitment to complete the credentialing process. The selected candidate must obtain an approved national pharmacy technician certification and satisfy all New York State licensure and registration requirements within six months of hire or within another timeframe established in the offer letter. Until the required credentials are obtained the employees responsibilities will be limited to duties legally permitted for unlicensed personnel and performed under pharmacist supervision. Continued employment in the Pharmacy Technician position is contingent upon timely completion and maintenance of all required credentials.

Pay Range/Rate

$18.50 - $25 USD
