- Assist the Staff Pharmacists in providing professional Pharmacy services
- Perform in any functional area of the Department to provide accurateand efficient dispensing of medications
Schedule:
32 hrs a week
Rotating shifts
Rotating weekends
Rotating holidays
General Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Registration with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy within60 days of employment as a Certified Pharmacy Technician. The Pharmacy techniciansshall be required to submit proof of certification as a certified pharmacy technician proofof enrollment in a first professional degree program in pharmacy or proof of enrollment inclinical training by a graduate of a foreign pharmacy program for the first renewal orrestoration that occurs after the license has been issued for at least 2 years regardless ofwhether or not the license has been active inactive or not renewed. Annual pharmacytech license renewal occurs by March 31st every other year.
National Certified with a Nationally Accredited Certification Board within 1 year
Must learn sterile compounding techniques
