Job Summary

Pay Range:

$20.00 - $29.00

A successful candidates actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience skills training certifications and education.

Under the direct supervision of the registered pharmacist and according to state and federal laws performs a variety of tasks according to policies and procedures. The advanced-level role requires the colleague to be experienced with the Essential Job Functions of the Pharmacy Technician (2381 job code) and proficient in the Essential Functions within the Pharmacy Specialist Technician I (2595 job code) addition the colleague will perform administrative duties in one of the following areas: pharmacy purchasing pharmacy automation sterile compounding; or performs advanced technician functions such as validating quality assurance for other technicians.

Education Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED is in healthcare business or related field is of Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) recognized Educational School/Training Program is preferred.
Experience Qualifications
  • 3 years pharmacy experience is required.
Certifications Licenses and Registrations
  • Licensed or registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of practice is required.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician certification must be achieved within 12 months of hire OR enrolled in a Doctorate of Pharmacy program is required. May work in a license pending status for up to 60 days.
