Pharmacy Liaison 1 Job Responsibilities:
- Utilizes clinical documentation to obtain prior authorization approvals and appeals.
- Assists patients with timely pharmacy access to medications and documents all related communications with patients physicians finance nursing case management in appropriate platform.
- Works with payers to obtain coverage for patients and appropriate emergency one-time overrides when needed and resolves prescription insurance billing problems.
- Cleans equipment maintains all required temperature logs and maintains accurate inventory values and drug procurement as per policies and procedures.
- Maintains accurate and up to date patient profiles and allergy and up to date medication reconciliation lists.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: High School or GED.
Experience: Three (3) years experience working as a Pharmacy Technician and One (1) year experience with Pharmacy Billing.
Certification: Registered PharmacyTechnician in the state of Virginia. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.
