A Retail PharmacistInternis responsible forchanneling his or her entire effort toward promoting rational drug therapy by providing health care services to patients health careprofessionalsand the community through the efficient delivery of medicationsand educational activitiesunderthe direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Responsibilities
Medication Distribution
- Assistpharmacistwithin the guidelines laid out for pharmacist interns by the Iowa Board of Pharmacy.
- Processing filling verifying and counseling on medications distributed.
Clinical Excellence
- Providing prescription clarification recommendations to patients and consultations with providers
- Assisting in the provision of medication therapy management duties providing immunizations and other MTM services as available.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education:
- Currently accepted or enrolled in accredited College of Pharmacy.
License(s)/Certifications:
- Registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Intern.
- Valid drivers license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
