Location: Lubbock TX
Pay Rate: $45 - $50/hour
Duration: 26 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift
Schedule: 4x10 Hours 8:00 PM 6:30 AM 7 On / 7 Off
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Assignment Type: Contract Local or Traveler
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care within a hospital setting. The Pharmacist will be responsible for reviewing verifying and dispensing medications while collaborating with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy and ensure patient safety.
Responsibilities
Review verify and dispense medication orders accurately and efficiently
Collaborate with physicians nurses and healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy
Monitor patient medication regimens and provide clinical recommendations
Perform pharmacokinetic monitoring and dosage adjustments as appropriate
Participate in medication reconciliation activities
Ensure compliance with hospital policies regulatory requirements and patient safety standards
Monitor for medication interactions contraindications and adverse drug events
Maintain accurate documentation within pharmacy and electronic health record systems
Support medication safety and quality improvement initiatives
Provide drug information and clinical support to healthcare staff
Work independently during night shift pharmacy operations
Requirements
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an Accredited Program
Active Texas Pharmacist License (Required at Submission)
Strong knowledge of medication management pharmacokinetics and clinical pharmacy practices
Experience reviewing and verifying medication orders
Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Pharmacy Information Systems
Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Ability to work independently during night shift operations
Preferred
Minimum 1 Year of Inpatient Hospital Pharmacy Experience
Pediatric Pharmacy Experience
Experience in a Childrens Hospital Setting
BLS Certification
