Pet Boarding Daycare Technician

Tails-A-Wagn in Claremore OK is ready to hire full-time and part-time Boarding technicians. We pay a competitive hourly wages of $10-$15 depending on experience. We also offer several benefits to our full-time team members such as:

The Day-To-Day

The typical schedule for our Boarding technicians depends on if you are one of our wonderful full-time team members or an awesome part-timer. The pets are here every day and must be taken well care of so that includes weekends and holidays. We have positions for weekdays weekends and holidays.

As a Boarding technician you arrive at the facility ready for your workday by the start of your shift. You are always professional and kind to the animals and your team of pet professionals. You have an excellent work ethic and enjoy contributing to the health and needs of the pets in your care. You are always willing to learn more and enjoy improving your skill set in canine behavior techniques that you have been trained while being a team member.

Physical and Behavioral Requirements

-Confidently handle dogs of all sizes including large and strong breeds with care and control.

-Maintain patience a good-natured attitude and a calm demeanor even in high-energy or challenging situation.

-Demonstrate physical fitness and strength with the ability to safely lift and/or carry 50lbs.

-Comfortable working in a loud environment.

-Exhibit a strong work ethic professionalism and a positive attitude when interacting with pets clients and team members.

-Possess mental resilience and the ability to stay composed under pressure ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for every pet.

Our Ideal Pet Care Technician:

-Has a love for dogs and is passionate about pet care.

-Combines a growth mindset with a positive can-do attitude.

-Is a self-starter with great time management skills

-Enjoys working in a team environment.

-Demonstrates a desire to improve skills and learn new techniques.

-Experience in pet care is a plus but not required.

-Is not afraid of hard work even if it means getting a little dirty and covered in dog kisses.

Interview Process:

Candidates who meet the requirements will be contacted for a multi-step interview process which may include:

-An initial phone screening to discuss qualifications and experience

-An in-person observation which may include a hands-on demonstration to observe handling and interaction with dogs of different sizes.

-An in-person interview following the observation session.

We aim to hire swiftly. Candidates should be ready to start work within two weeks of receiving a job offer.
