Personal Lines Customer Service Representative (CSR)

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and detail-orientedPersonal Lines Customer Service Representative (CSR)to serve as the primary point of contact for clients delivering exceptional support with their personal insurance needs. This role requires effective communication skills and a focus on customer satisfaction to build long-lasting relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer support by addressing inquiries resolving concerns and processing personal insurance policy changes including auto homeowners and other lines of personal insurance.
  • Assist clients in understanding their coverage and options ensuring that they have adequate protection.
  • Handle new business requests prepare quotes process endorsements and manage policy renewals with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationships through proactive communication and follow-up.
  • Coordinate with insurance carriers on underwriting requests endorsements and claims support for clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date client records documenting all interactions and updates in the agency management system.
  • Stay informed about industry trends product offerings and coverage enhancements to provide expert guidance to clients.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Comply with regulatory and company standards preserving confidentiality of client information.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Experience in customer service preferably in the insurance industry or a related field.
  • State Insurance License for personal lines or willingness to obtain one (licensing support may be provided).
  • Strong interpersonal listening and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to analyze customer needs and recommend tailored insurance solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with customer management systems online insurance platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated positive attitude and a commitment to continuous learning and development.
  • Previous experience in an independent insurance agency or similar setting.
